How to delete your Drover data
Last updated: 21 May 2026
Drover is a UK digital medicine book for beef and sheep farmers. We don't run a server that stores your farm records — all data lives on your phone, with an optional encrypted backup to your own Google Drive (Android) or iCloud (iOS).
What data Drover holds
- Local data on your phone: every record you've entered (medicine purchases, treatments, compliance documents, attached photos and PDFs). Stored in a local database; never transmitted to Drover Ltd.
- Cloud backup in your own Google Drive or iCloud, if you've enabled it. Stored in a hidden app-data area accessible only by Drover. Drover Ltd cannot read this data — it sits in your personal cloud storage.
To delete just the cloud backup
- Open Drover on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Cloud backup.
- Tap Delete cloud backup.
- Confirm.
The backup is deleted immediately and permanently from your cloud storage. Your local records on the phone are not affected.
To delete everything (cloud backup + all local data)
- Uninstall the Drover app from your phone.
- The local database and all attached photos / documents are removed along with the app.
- The cloud backup (in your Drive's appDataFolder or iCloud private database) is automatically deleted by Google or Apple shortly after uninstall.
What's retained after deletion
Nothing. Drover Ltd does not retain any user records, photos, or personal data on any server. Once you delete via the steps above, no copy remains under Drover's control.
Your underlying Google or Apple account is unaffected — only the Drover-specific data inside it is removed.
